Element 4: Support for strategic approach and CBEI
The main components of this task include:
- The establishment of a central communication and information exchange forum based web portal;
- Support of the C2C Integrated Water Quality Monitoring and Research Working Group and the WQIP Steering Group;
- Support for Community Based Education and Involvement (CBEI) Programme and Network including Citischools, Creekwatch, Reefcheck, Seagrass Watch, and Reef Guardian Schools through the Youth Environment Network (YEN). Community involvement opportunities, community events and school curriculum will be strengthened and enhanced e.g. tours, events and workshops;
- Support community involvement and participation through the development of training modules and newsletters;
- Development of a stakeholder consultation strategy;
- A Community Based Social Marketing (CBSM) study.
